This month and beyond, it is important to reflect on the trauma and reality of the impacts of colonization that Indigenous people, families, survivors and victims face and continue to face.
We extend our deepest condolences to the affected families and communities affected by the tragic discovery of the 215 children who died at the Kamloops Indian Residential School. It is an important reminder of the lasting trauma and reality of how Indigenous people continue to be treated.
It’s important for us to take part in the healing of survivors, their families, and communities. We can do that work by learning and listening together. Over the next few weeks, we will be posting about resources to learn, educate, and to support the healing of Indigenous Communities.
