Every year students struggle to find a place to live while attending Vancouver Community College. The situation off-campus can be daunting too, as vacancy rates in Vancouver are at an all-time low. But it’s not all bad news, because SUVCC members have access to the Housing Registry.

The SUVCC Housing Registry is a comprehensive registry of student housing listings. For many of our members, this free online service helps ensure that they can find a comfortable and affordable place to live before the bustle of the academic year begins. The registry is convenient and user-friendly, as students can search for available housing based on the type of accommodation, number of bedrooms, and by the date available.

Beyond these considerations, students can search based on particular features that are not found on other housing websites but are important to students, such as proximity to campus, access to transit, acceptability of co-signing, laundry services, parking accessibility, and much more. Further, if you are a student who is looking for roommates, you can post your listing for free!

Students moving to Vancouver for the first time, or transferring to another university, will be happy to hear that the SUVCC Housing Registry has now gone national! Other Students’ Unions in the Canadian Federation of Students in our region and across Canada have posted housing opportunities that you can search right on our registry!
