What better way to build community at VCC than to start a club? You can now register for official recognition with the Students’ Union of Vancouver Community College, which will give you greater access to services and eligibility for funding.

All clubs must follow the Students’ Union of Vancouver Community College Clubs Policy. Please click here to download.

Official Club Recognition Request Form

You must fill out this form and submit this to the Students’ Union Space and Office.

The Board of Directors will review your request at the next scheduled Board of Directors Meeting.

Please note that the Board, in its sole discretion, has the right to refuse any application.

Official Club Funding Request Form

Clubs can apply for funding through the Students’ Union of Vancouver Community College.

The Students’ Union has allocated a fixed amount for club funding, and no further clubs will be funded in the year once the funds are exhausted.

3D – Discipline, Dedication, Determination Club

Purpose: To help and teach students self-esteem, mentoring, financing, personal growth, organizing, job finding, business opportunity, health info, better self image, how to work with clients and make friends while having positive fun, self-image, networking and family.

Campus Association for Bahai Studies (CABS)

Purpose:

  • To meet to study and application of the Bahai writings

Coffee Club

Purpose:

  • In order to offer members the opportunity to pursue their interests about coffee, we established the Coffee Club.
  • Fostering members’ coffee related knowledge, coffee-making skills as well as social skills with the help of coffee, thus providing harmonious relationship bwtween people in out college.
  • Providing a positive environment for members to share coffee experiences and holding coffee-related activities for people at VCC to join.

Deaf Culture & Community Club

Purpose:

  • Raise awareness of Deaf culture and community
  • Raise money for various Deaf charities – 2011-12 focus on Deaf Children’s Society
  • A fun setting for Deaf/Hard of Hearing/Hearing people to come together

Dental Hygiene Grad Committee

Purpose: To meet, interact and socialize with fellow classmates in the purpose of raising funds to permit the Dental Hygiene grad class of 2013 to hold graduation activities & legacy.  In order to reach this goal, we will partake in a number of events including but not limited to: Pub Nights, Bake Sales, 50/50 Draws and Raffles.

I-National  Club

Purpose:

  • To bring international students together and make them feel welcome. Also include Canadian students and learn about other cultures and create a space where cultures can meet, share and exchange experiences. We would love to have a large number of Canadian students to share and learn more about Canadian culture. We want this club to be a place where different students with different interests meet and build strong relationships and feel welcome.

Muslim Student Association (MSA) – VCC

Purpose:

  • Have a welcoming environment where Muslim students can network; create new friendships; and learn more about Islam to strengthen the VCC community in leadership and solidarity.

Purpose:

  • To meet, interact and socialize with fellow classmates in the purpose of raising funds to permit the grad class of 2012 to have a graduation ceremony and party. In order to reach this goal, we will partake in a number of events including but not limited to: Pub Nights, Movie Nights, Silent Auctions and raffles.

VCC Health & Wellness Club

Purpose:

  • To promote health such as diet, exercise and stress management including services and events at VCC such as Immigration Health Fairs, information sessions and workshops on Access to Health Care and Awareness of Own Health

Purpose: Share experiences and information about becoming a student nurse with current and prospective nursing students. Also to provide support for fellow nursing students in a demanding program.

Purpose: To educate students on creating their own sustainable food source. To create a college garden where students can grow their own organic veggies and herbs. Also, to hold information sessions and workshops on urban agriculture.
