Reusable Menstrual Pad or Underwear 

After each use, follow these simple steps to wash your reusable menstrual pad or underwear and maximize its usage:  

1. Before putting it in the wash, rinse it with cold water. This is to avoid any staining that may occur when your pad or underwear is washed with other clothes.  

2. After rinsing, put them in the wash, and wash on cold. To get the most out of your underwear, only use laundry detergent to wash. Using fabric softeners or bleach will wear out the material.  

3. Once washed, hang your pad or underwear to dry. Avoid the dryer – the high heat can cause the fabric to breakdown, shortening the pad or underwear’s lifespan.  

Reusable Menstrual Cups  

While you are on your period, cleaning between uses is simple. After you have taken out your cup, rinse it in cold water to prevent staining. From there, wash with hot water and mild soap. Avoid any cleaners that may irritate your skin. Clear the top four holes of the cup by passing water through the holes. Flip inside out and repeat.

Dry your cup thoroughly and store it in the bag provided (or another breathable container). Never use a plastic bag or airtight container for storage. 
Some discoloration may occur over time and usage. This is normal and may vary from one person to another. 

Reusable Menstrual Cup  
If your reusable menstrual cup is ripped or torn, or the silicone shows signs of deterioration such as severe discoloration or odor, it’s time to replace the cup.  

Reusable Menstrual Pad or Underwear 
If your reusable pad or underwear is torn or has severe discoloration or odor, it’s time to replace it.  

Reusable menstrual products can last anywhere between 6 months to 2 years depending on how they are cared for. Therefore washing, drying and storing your reusable menstrual products using the proper steps can extend the lifespan of your products.
