Free courtesy phones are available at both offices for local-area calls. Please note that the phone is available only during office hours.

Photocopying & Colour Printing Services

The Students’ Union provides the cheapest photocopying services & the only colour printing on campus! Prices vary depending on the size of paper and the number of copies.

Fax Services

Send or receive faxes at your nearest Students’ Union office! We offer free local faxing and the most affordable long distance fax service at VCC and we even provide a free cover page for your convenience! Prices vary depending on where you are faxing and how many pages you are sending.

Locker Services – Broadway Campus

There are some lockers for rent* at the Broadway Campus. The lockers are available at the beginning of each semester on a first come, first serve basis (there are no waiting lists). Locker rentals cost $10 for one semester or $20 for an entire year.

Locks can also be rented for free at both campuses, but requires a refundable $10 deposit that will be returned when you bring back the lock at the end of your program.

Locker Services – Downtown Campus

The Students’ Union offers a lock rental service for members attending the Downtown campus. The lock is free, but requires a refundable $10 deposit that will be returned when you bring back the lock at the end of your program. Drop by the Students’ Union office for more information or to rent a lock.

*Lockers at the Downtown Campus are assigned by your department, and not by your Students’ Union.

Microwaves

The Students’ Union provides a number of microwaves for student use.

  • Microwaves are located in the Student Lounge at the Downtown Campus.
  • Microwaves are located in the cafeteria and around campus at the Broadway Campus.

Students’ Lounge – Downtown Campus

Attached to the lower seating area in the cafeteria is your Students’ Union Lounge featuring comfy chairs, large tables, microwaves, and a great view of the north end of the Downtown core and the North Shore for everyone to enjoy!  Plans are in the works to make the lounge more comfortable, so keep your eyes open for more changes and let us know if you have any suggestions!

Student Advocate

Any member who perceives that he or she may have been unjustly treated regarding the application of a College policy or procedure, or regarding the action of a College employee, may seek recourse.

To help in such cases, the Students’ Union has a Student Advocate. The Student Advocate assists students in policy interpretation and is available to all students for discussion of any concern or questions.

Free Handbook & Dayplanner

As a member of the Students’ Union of Vancouver Community College and the Canadian Federation of Students, you get a free Members Handbook and Dayplanner.  Keep track of your schedule, assignments and important dates along with important information about your Students’ Union and VCC. Come pick one up at one of our events or visit the Students’ Union Office
